Sarah is a provisional psychologist who is currently undertaking her two-year internship toward general registration. Sarah works from an attachment informed, evidence-based framework to provide care that is tailored to each individual. Sarah works with warmth, curiosity, and good humour to understand clients’ lived experience and honour their individuality. Sarah is currently training in Family Based Treatment (FBT; Maudsely Method), Enhanced Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT-E), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Sarah believes in comprehensive, wrap around care, believing that individuals cannot be treated in isolation from their physical and social systems. Following a client-centred approach, Sarah hopes to develop client relationships rooted in honesty, compassion and non-judgement.

Sarah’s main area of interest in mental health is in working with individuals and families experiencing the challenges associated with eating disorders, gender identity, body dysmorphia and disordered eating. Additionally, Sarah is interested in working with people who are experiencing mood and personality disorders, trauma, anxiety, low self-esteem, major life changes or disruption, and relationship concerns.

Sarah can see clients referred under mental health care plans, NDIS and EAPs. However, she is currently ineligible to provide rebates under the Medicare better access scheme. Sarah’s fees are adjusted to reflect this.
