Tasya completed a Bachelor of Psychology (Honours) from Queensland University of Technology and a Bachelor of Arts (Psychology) from Mumbai University. She has a Master of Counselling from the University of Queensland, focusing on integrated approaches to counselling a wide range of challenges. Her training spans several areas, including counselling children, young people, and students, health challenges, relationship counselling, grief and loss counselling, and trauma counselling. Tasya has worked across a number of settings, including mental health and community-based organisations, private practice, and telehealth. Tasya also has experience working in a university counselling centre and in an interprofessional clinic. She has also worked with children in childcare and social work roles.


Tasya believes that each client is unique and an expert in their own lives. Her practice aims to provide a safe and non-judgemental space for clients to explore themselves and their challenges in depth. Her practice is client-centred, focusing on tailoring therapy to a client’s unique needs and empowering clients to achieve their self-determined goals.


Tasya’s interest areas in working with adults include relationship issues, self-esteem and motivation challenges, health anxiety, anxiety and stress, and adjustment/life transition challenges. With children and youth, her interest areas include emotional challenges, anxiety, peer challenges, and self-esteem challenges. Tasya also provides diagnostic assessments for ADHD.


Tasya has worked with a diverse client group of different ages and cultural backgrounds and is committed to an inclusive and respectful practice. She practices from an integrated therapy perspective, drawing from several therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behaviour therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, dialectical behaviour therapy, attachment-focused therapy, and emotion-focused therapy. With children, she enjoys incorporating play therapy.
